For a one-time yearly fee, Duck Key Marina will provide you with a stall for your boat in Duck Key Marina’s barn for protection from hurricanes. We’ll implement this service when a hurricane is a named storm; the Florida Keys is in a hurricane strike zone; the hurricane is two days away from the Florida Keys.
Our fees are very inexpensive compared to the cost of repairing the damage that could occur to your boat. Boat insurance companies will not reimburse their boat customers if the boat is left in the water during a hurricane. Your boat may also be vulnerable to damage caused by your neighbor’s insecurely docked boat when high tides and swiftly-moving water bring it into violent contact with your boat.
